In February 2026, alongside the launch of the Vernal Core3 standing desk, Vernal released the Core3 Test Report, publicly sharing data and details from real laboratory testing. Through this report, Vernal aims to give users a clear understanding of what kind of desk they are truly bringing into their workspace. In this article, we highlight the 1.2 Stability Test from the Vernal Core3 Test Report, taking you inside Vernal’s testing laboratory to show how a series of rigorous tests are used to verify every detail of the desk’s stability.

Overview

To evaluate stability performance, the Core3 standing desk underwent a series of tests focusing on stability and structural strength.

• Rigidity and Stability: Tests involved measuring desktop and column displacement under multi-directional forces. The objective was to minimize lateral movement during daily operations—such as typing, mouse usage, or leaning on the desk—ensuring stability is maintained even at maximum standing heights.
• Synchronization: Multi-motor synchronization tests confirmed that the tabletop remains level throughout the entire range of motion, preventing uneven lifting and maintaining a stable, reliable experience.

Core Test A

Test Objective

To verify the rigidity and stability of the desk at various height settings and ensure compliance with stability standards under conditions simulating normal work activities and daily leaning usage.

Test Method

• For tests 1.2.1–1.2.3:

1. Set up experimental conditions. The desk was positioned on a flat surface, adjusted to the target height, and loaded with the specified weight. The desk feet were secured to prevent slippage.
2. As shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, target forces were applied from four opposing directions (Fa, Fb, Fc, Fd) and maintained for the required duration or number of cycles.
3. The cumulative lateral and longitudinal displacements (Da, Db, Dc, Dd) of the desktop and columns were recorded.

• For test 1.2.4:

1. The desk was positioned on a flat surface, adjusted to the target height without needing to lock the feet.
2. Force was applied at the edge most susceptible to tipping, positioned 50 mm (2.0 in) from the outer edge, to evaluate the desk's stability.

Note:

*"Desk Height" refers to the vertical distance from the top of the tabletop to the floor, based on a configuration using a 25 mm (1 in) thick tabletop.

*For Test 1.2.1, D1 is defined as the cumulative displacement in the AC direction (comprising Da and Dc) divided by the desk height.

*For Test 1.2.1, D2 is defined as the cumulative displacement comprising Db and Dd divided by the desk height.

Note:

A force Fd is applied by the machine (as shown in Fig. 3), and the corresponding horizontal displacement of the desktop is recorded (as shown in Fig. 4) by a displacement sensor (as shown in Fig. 5).
